About Molecular
A band is a comb of rovibrational lines; bring the lines of a molecule
down thirty-odd octaves and the band is a cluster of partials that beat
at the rotational constant. Molecular plays that sound for thirty
diatomic molecules, every line computed from the spectroscopic constants
of the Huber–Herzberg compilation, and polyatomics such as water and
carbon dioxide from HITRAN or ExoMol line lists. The sibling of Atom
Spectrum.
